21 Years of Crafting Sound That Cuts Through
In 2004, The Futz Butler was born in a tiny London studio with one goal: to imagine the unimagined through sound and music. No templates. No off-the-shelf tracks. Just distinctive, head-turning audio, every time.
Two decades on, we’ve grown into an award-winning sound design and music production studio, collaborating with world-class brands, agencies, and filmmakers to create work that cuts through the noise. From bespoke compositions to full-scale audio post-production, we’ve helped thousands of clients push the boundaries of what’s possible with sound.
Plenty’s changed since that first session, but the core belief remains:
Great sound makes people feel. And we’re lucky to still be doing what we love, for clients we love, 21 years later..
2004 vs 2025
From bedroom studios to surround suites. From MiniDiscs to multichannel masters.
The kit might’ve changed, but the unrelenting passion is exactly the same.
Work Highlights From the Last 21 Years
Jimmy Choo – Immersive Installation, Milan Fashion Week SS20
Music and sound design for fashion events
Music and sound design for Jimmy Choo’s immersive installation at Milan Fashion Week SS20, a mirrored, LED-lit space designed to envelop visitors in scent and sound.
A brief that let us blur the lines between audio, light and experience.
An LED-lit, mirrored space brought to life with immersive sound and scent. We crafted a soundscape that blurred the lines between music, space, and sensory experience. A brief that let us get truly experimental.
Paul McCartney – ‘Fuh You’ Official Video
Audio post-production for music videos
We handled the sound design and mix for this heart-warming, working-class love story set on the streets of Liverpool. One of those rare, pinch-me moments.
ITVX – Sonic Branding & Original Composition
Sonic branding for streaming platforms
A six-month deep-dive to reimagine ITV’s audio identity. We created a fresh, flexible sonic system with bespoke music and sound design, a reintroduction that helped boost streaming figures in the first four months.
A testament to the power of sound to reshape a brand’s story and a project we’re immensely proud to have been part of.
BMW – Offline Someday Short Film
Bespoke music and sound for film
Full sound design, original score, and audio post for Ben Perry’s 2018 short film Offline Someday for BMW. A textured, emotive mix of organic and live instrumentation underscored the film’s themes of connection, isolation and escape, and remains one of our proudest pieces.
This work earned nominations at the Music + Sound Awards and British Arrows.
