Sound Design & Post on Poignant New Short

Words by Paul Sumpter, Sunday 9 Nov 2014

We’ve just wrapped Sound Design and full Audio Post Mix on international news agency, Thomson Reuters' latest film Unseen. Produced for Wake The Town in association with Absolute Post and White Lodge, the short is a stark reminder about the threat child slavery presents even within societies in the developed Western world.

Without voiceover, we were tasked with enhancing the story through spot effects, oppressive ambiences and Foley, that sought to highlight that amongst our busy lives, we can be oblivious to the trafficking and exploitation that can occur unless we ‘choose to see.’

Directed by Mary Nighy (daughter of celebrated actor Bill Nighy), the short went online globally this week and a 45 second edit, is currently on air in the USA.
