It's been a pleasure to work with long term collaborator and Amy MacDonald Musical Director Thom Kirkpatrick on a swathe of new production for the Scottish artist's 2022 European Arena and festival tour.

We were asked to help freshen the sound - reworking several of MacDonald's impressive back catalogue for post-pandemic return dates. Having sold over 12 million records worldwide, our challenge was of course to retain the identity of the original recordings whilst providing a clear new direction for each track.

Programming additional drums and live triggers, re-recording guitar parts and adding synth elements gave the songs a new lease of life. Thumbs up from management and artist - nice.

This clip shows the inaugural show premiering the new sound at Glasgow's TRNSMT at the end of last year.

The new production is being folded into a new digital release of the tracks. Watch this space!
